How we work

Editorial standards, AI use & image policy

How every CozyroomFix guide is written, checked and illustrated — and what we do when we get something wrong. Last updated 3 Oct 2026.

1
Plan
Topics come from reader questions and rooms we’ve actually lived in.
2
Write
Amelia writes or rewrites every line, adding her own tests and opinions.
3
Fact-check
Measurements, prices, product claims and safety notes are checked before publishing.
4
Publish & update
Each guide shows its writer, reviewer and the date it was last checked.

What we publish

Practical guides, comparisons, case studies and opinion pieces about decorating real homes. We don’t publish a guide unless it tells the reader what to do, why it works and roughly what it costs. We vary formats on purpose, because one template can’t answer every question.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to help with research, outlines and first drafts. AI never publishes anything. A person rewrites each article in their own voice, adds first-hand experience, and a second person fact-checks it before it goes live.

In short: AI helps us work faster. People decide what’s true, useful and worth publishing.

Images & removal requests

Images on CozyroomFix are our own photographs or licensed from [Depositphotos / Canva Pro / Freepik]. Where we feature a reader’s or creator’s photo, we credit them by name with a link.

If you own an image on this site and would like it removed, contact us with the page link. We’ll remove it within 48 hours.

Ads & affiliate links

The site is supported by display advertising and some affiliate links. Any post with affiliate links says so at the top. Advertisers and brands never see articles before publication and can’t pay for a recommendation.

Corrections

Spotted a mistake? Tell us. We correct errors quickly and add a dated note at the bottom of the article explaining what changed.
